Persecution of the Early Christians
When Jesus revealed to His disciples the fall of Jerusalem and the time of the end, He also foretold the experience of His people from the time of His ascension, right up to the time of His return in power and glory. The Saviour saw the storms that were about to fall upon the early church; and even deeper into the future. His eye discerned the fierceness that His followers were going to experience in the coming years of darkness and persecution.
