Teach Us To Pray
Two men were talking together. The first challenged the other, "If you are so religious, lets hear you quote the Lords Prayer. I bet you $10.00 you cant." The second responded, "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. And if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take." The first pulled out his wallet and fished out a ten-dollar bill, muttering, "I didnt think you could do it!"
Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. ‘And forgive us our debts, as weforgive our debtors. ‘And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen’.
