According to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy – War should be understood as an actual, intentional and widespread armed conflict between political communities. Thus, fisticuffs between individual persons do not count as a war, nor does a gang fight, nor does a feud on the order of the Hatfields versus the McCoys. War is a phenomenon which occurs only between political communities. According to one source 160 million people died as a result of armed conflict in the 20th century. How many wars can you remember – WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, Arab-Israeli Conflict, Russian War in Afghanistan, Desert Storm, Iran – Iraq War, the list can go on and on. Before all those wars however, the Bible tells us that war broke out in Heaven! Is that possible? Join me for a fascinating study in the book of Revelation called “The Cosmic Controversy”
